Each set comes with four linksets for quick and easy placement. However each picture is individual so they can be unlinked and used however you like. Each picture can be stretched up fairly large before they go beyond 1 Li each. When linked at the smaller sizes they are only half an Li each (so linking is good if you are on a prim budget)
